Striking aerial images show how sprawling green fields in sleepy Kent village would be paved over in plans to build 2,000 new homes
These striking aerial images show how sprawling green fields in a Kent village would be paved over if plans to build 2,000 new homes go ahead.
A proposal has been put forward to double the size of Marden and add two schools, a health centre and office space.
Campaigners say the new build would destroy protected greenbelt land and would place a huge strain on local resources in a county dubbed the ‘Garden of England’.
They accused planners of focusing on ‘greed and making money’ and ‘selling off the countryside’.
